Designed by FSI engineers, in conjunction with a leading fiber manufacturer, our exclusive PolyMicro™ material is the most efficient, low pressure drop liquid filtration non-woven medium available.

FSI PolyMicro™ is a non-woven polypropylene material, offering more uniform performance to a lower micron rating than any conventional media. Both the inside and outside of this filter bag feature an integral migration control cover web. Applications of PolyMicro™ material include removal of oil from process solutions. Absolute filtration ratings of 2, 10 and 25 microns at 98% efficiency available.

FIBER MIGRATION

PolyLoc® bags virtually eliminate fiber contamination of liquids. Our manufacturing, totally integrated from fiber to finished product, locks fiber ends to prevent migration.

SEALING

A built-in seating ring, designed and patented by FSI, provides 100% hermetic sealing. This self-aligning ring fits snugly over the lip of the restraining basket. This design feature marks a significant improvement over sewn seam bags.

BAG REMOVAL

PolyLoc® bags have integral handles in the seating ring to speed and simplify bag removal. No more of the mess and spillage associated with handle-less bag filters. 100% combustible, too.

BAG MEDIA

FSI manufactures filter bags for vessel as well as open filtration systems. Bag filter media include felt, multifilament or monofilament mesh, and our new PolyMicro™ material.

Felt provides depth filtration, with higher solids loading capacity than equivalent sized mesh fabric bags. Available in polyester, polypropylene, nylon, rayon viscose and Teflon®. Felt bags are economically priced (®E.I. DuPont de Nemours)

Multifilament mesh features woven fabric with evenspaced holes. Each thread consists of many smaller diameter threads, twisted together.

Monofilament mesh is a woven fabric with evenly spaced holes, and consists of single untwisted threads. It has excellent strength.

FSI SINGLE LAYER BAGS Sewn from a single layer of filter media. Available in all styles, sizes and micron ratings, with covers or fiber-free finishes.

FSI MULTI-LAYER BAGS Feature 2 or 3 layers of felt or mesh material of selected micron rating. Provides greater depth filtration; contaminants are removed in stages. Available in many sizes with or without covers.
