    OPERATION OF THE ROTOSPRAY®

The fluid is fed into the integral funnel at the top of the machine and then falls onto a high speed concave spinning disc. Centrifugal action throws the fluid with great force against the surrounding vertical screen, immediately forcing the greater part of the screenable material through the screen. The coarse material washes down to the residue tank at the base of the machine. From here the still screenable material is lifted up by the impellers located in the bottom of the residue tank and repeatedly sprayed against the self cleaning vertical screen, thus eliminating any of the usual clogging and build-up found in horizontal sifters. This continues until the residue tank contains all of the unscreenable matter. It is then easily emptied by a simple turn release. All of the screened fluid flows out via the discharge spout. Rotospray’s forceable screening action is the fastest possible as it does not have to depend on the slow vibration or shaker type screening. Nothing of the correct formula is lost as with uncertain “knockings” found in horizontal sifters. ROTOSPRAY SIFTER gives the tru formula and batch mix. ROTOSPRAY SIFTERS – The standard for industry for over 65 years.

    CONSTRUCTION OF THE ROTOSPRAY SIFTER

The upper and lower drums of the ROTOSPRAY are made entirely of cast aluminum. A stainless steel shaft connected with the totally enclosed motor extends downward through the opening in the funnel to the interior of the machine. Firmly attached to this shaft at its lower end is the cone at the open end bottom at which the impellers are located. Mounted on the same shaft above the top of the cone there is a curved disc the same diameter as the top of the cone. Surrounding the cone and disc is the removable screen frame to which the screen is attached, fitting in a groove in the bottom with rubber gaskets for sealing purposes.

ROTOSPRAY is supplied to the Porcelain Enameling Industry, Electronic Whitewares and entire Ceramic Industry, and all other industries in need of constant high volume perfectly controlled sifting or screening of any liquid material. They are equipped with Stainless Steel Cone and Disc and Stainless Steel Screens. Choice of 30 to 400-mesh screen inclusive. For best product and quality straining control square mesh screen is always supplied.
