J.B. Webb Monorail Overhead Conveyor Chain
Thousands of installations and years of service have demonstrated the success of Webb rivetless chain which is given a very large share of credit for the general popularity of overhead conveyors. This chain is unique in that it is assembled and disassembled without any use of tools; yet, the design is such that it is impossible for the chain to become disconnected in service. Some characteristics which make Webb rivetless chain desirable for overhead trolley conveyors are:

It is simple and strong; yet, it is cheaper and lighter per unit of ultimate strength than any other type of conveyor chain.

There are only three component parts; the center link, side link and connecting pin.

Since it has no rivets or bolts, tools are not required for assembly and disassembly of this chain.

All components are drop forged from high carbon steel to obtain greater strength by taking full advantage of material grain flow and denser material.

All chain parts are heat treated to increase resistance to wear, corrosive and abrasive action, and to withstand shock loads.

Plating is available on X-228 (X-50-6) & X-348 (X-75-13).

All chain can be Magnafluxed upon request. Special alloy type chains are available upon request.
